OK I see another hint, if my old brain is still working here goes, the ‘65 & ‘66 were the two years with that style front fender vents, on the ‘67 they were still vertical but different, the ‘63 & ‘64 had horizontal vents, SO if this vet still has the original wheels I say 1965…….John

It is a 65. As the title of the post states ??

As I was climbing back into my Tacoma yesterday at the Transfer Station, that's Mainese for DUMP, I heard an unusual sounding engine pull in behind me. I turned around to see this classic pulling in.

I immediately asked the proud owner, "That the Straight Six?" to which he replied, "No, a V6!!" Never knew GM made a V6, my Dad's Chevy's were always the inline one...

I had to look it up on Wiki, I hadn't heard of them either. They actually made a 478 ci V6 which I've never seen in any car auctions. Makes me wonder if they were prone to catastrophic failure or something. Maybe the 6500 became tractor trailers?

There was a diesel version, and a V-12 as well. I don't know about the gas version, but the Toro-Flow Diesel had a poor reputation.
