Yup, we did the same things. I love those Charger’s from that era. Very cool cars. Another friend of mine had a 69’ Chevelle. His car was a sleeper. Kind of a dingy yellow color, no badging, black vinyl top, bench seat, auto on the column, but under on hood an L88. Very rare car, and a screamer.Mid 70’s I frequented Bethpage Burger King in a black 67 Chevelle SS, then later a white 68 Charger RT. We would drag on route 109 starting at the rte 110 overpass and also behind Republic Apt on New Highway. Survived all that, now I’m rarely over 60mph.
