I thought it may have been a 67’ which if it was the 425 was actually a poor choice for power.

In 67’ there were 20 manufactured with the 427 L88 motor. I think there are 16 still around. Those cars today are considered the Holy Grail of Corvettes, and probably all muscle cars, and can command 7 figure dollars.

Great motor, I had one in my 65’ El Camino.

The E-type always baffled me in its ability to be on one hand, one of the most hideous vehicles around, and on the other one of the most beautiful.

The convertible is just drop-dead sensuous, and the coupe looks like, I guess, a man bun. I know the rear seats forced the high roofline, but ugh.

I think he was talking about the race version. Which certainly leaned more towards the convertible. If he was talking about the other one I'd lose all respect for him.

It's rare that I give credit to the brits for styling. Or much of anything else for that matter. But they certainly nailed the convertible.
