So let's tell a true story, because it hits home.
A family member of mine received one of those calls and isolated immediately. A day later symptoms started. So at least one day of not being selfish and staying away from others. Did it protect others? Did it save a life? Don't know. That's for you to think about.
This family member received "harassing calls" and assisted the contract tracers. Guess what? The folks that then received calls took it seriously, not selfishly, and isolated. Their symptoms did not show for 2-3 days. If not for the call, 4-5 people would have continued their life for the next 2-3 days that they were contagious. How many more infections? Don't know. Did that protect others? Did it save a life? Don't know. That's for you to think about.
From what I hear, that "micro cluster" was able to stop the spread in their little world.
And then you wonder why the numbers are going up. So worried about big bad government, do your part and maybe this will subside, just like my family member's "micro cluster". Your thoughts?

Eco terrorists spread an Ebola like virus causing a world wide pandemic. When the "vaccine" is developed, it is actually designed to give the victim the virus. Part of their plot to wipe out the human population and turn earth back over to the animals and the few privileged humans that started the whole thing.

Oh, and in the end, Mr. Clark takes care of business.

Until I get the second dose, I will simply not be meeting with anyone out of my household without being masked and staying a few feet away. Will not go to the movies, restaurants, etc. Except for groceries, buying EVERYTHING online. Even if you don't die from the china virus, I know personally of several people who survived but are now experiencing some physical symptoms as well as that "brain fog" you hear about wherein they can not stay interested or focused on things. At age 69 I do not what that aspect of my life to get any worse than it already is !

The basic protocols are discussed with you with literature after testing positive at City MD. The county wished to remind me that the fines for breaking quarantine are serious. They didn’t give a shit that I have pneumonia and stood outside in gales and rain for three hours to get the monopolized test. Don’t think you guys are getting the picture. The lines are all SICK people trying to get seen. Nobody wants to see while your sick now. I’ve had same primary for 30 yrs. He won’t and probably none of yours will see you either. My thoughts are mine and I take full responsibility for my health as they and you should for yours. If your scared stay in it’s your choice. I’m over it, was a cake walk.

I really think a lot of ppl live under rocks and have not been outside to see what’s really going on

It looks like you may have responded to me earlier, I cannot find your post.

If that is what you asked, no, I have never had Pneumonia, well, at least not diagnosed. The days of going to work with fever and trouble breathing without seeing a doctor are over for all now. Sniffle and you get the look.

I know the goal of all is to stay healthy, I get it, because NOBODY wants to, or even can get an appointment for the regular illnesses of the year.

My experience with pneumonia was watching my 7 year old son in a hospital bed for 8 days and things going where no parent can comprehend unless they have had the same experience. At the time, I truly did not understand the magnitude of what was happening. Thank goodness the wonderful infectious disease dept at Stony Brook got him through it. So maybe, just maybe, I can relate.

I could also comment as recent as late Jan 2020 when my daughter decided to give mono a try like her girlfriends up at school who got sick etc and healed up just fine. Kinda like your personal "cake walk". Not her, she turned bright yellow with the most disturbing looking eyes for a bit as the mono decided to really put on a show and cause a lot of problems with her liver. I think it began to sink in when I had to sign papers to allow her case to be reviewed by the Mount Sinai Liver Group. In case it went to a complete liver failure. Well, her body fought a bit harder and she turned the corner. My wife and I can't begin to describe how thankful we are for her recovery.

So I know a bit about life and illnesses and how swift life can be ripped from you. My family was spared that pain...........so far.

I don't really know where to go with this conversation so I will say this.

I wear my "face diaper" for you............not for me. Maybe if we had more respect for each other, this terrible thing would move along a bit faster. But then again, live YOUR life how you want. I guess that's what its all about!

Well, you have the solution. Walk around like nothing is wrong because that is your right. You already gave your true feelings a couple of pages ago. Obviously very few people under rocks if the sickness is ripping through the population. They see.......................and then end up sick
 
Just got back from shooting at Mitchel Field Range. Everyone masked, LEOs and civilians. The wife of the buddy I shot with got the china virus in late March. She is still not "back" and has that "brain fog" as I know others who suffer from it as well. I hope to God these lasting symptoms eventually expire but just another reason I remain masked and distant.

I said it’s what I do because the mask are useless and social distancing are more destructive to life and the economy than the virus could ever be

of someone comes up with something that can combat the virus and not destroy society and the economy I’m all ears

as far as the vaccine I’m out because you can’t tell me you’ll never tell me
That I lived with a person in very very close proximity that has anti bodies and I didn’t contract it
Something doesn’t add up

Eyes are wide open, just see it in a different light. Same experience with a colleague of mine. The wife works with us. Husband got it, nobody in the rest of the house got it. And nobody in the office. This was back when there was less of an understanding. And then you read about a family where most caught it and 50% of them died. I get what you are saying.

I am just not sure how you can keep bashing what people are trying to do to prevent further spread when you clearly admit you have no solution to share with the masses.

I won’t be mandated to do it

what I’m against is destroying the future for the kids
Killing the economy and social norms
Doing things that have little to no effect
And worse being told to do them by folks that don’t feel the hardships Caused be the them

any one that’s interested in social distancing
And wearing a mask feel free it’s your right
Interested in the vaccine go for it Your decision

we just won’t agree on how
 
I guess some of it comes down to our personal experiences

I know at least a dozen ppl that have had positive test
4 that had serious illness
4 that had mild
4 that had none

Don’t know any that had lingering effects
