Coronavirus

shhhh don’t you dare disagree or refute the great Scientist Dom of maine
That’s almost as bad as refuting kilsong back in the day or the great leper opps I mean leprechaun
Don’t you know the worst traits of the old place carried over here but sadly none of the good ones

that’s what makes this place so amusing
Hey Tony,

I try to stay out of the drama posts like this one. I deleted the political board because of the cancer it spread amongst the site. But I have to say that I would never go into someone's business and do what you're doing in this and other threads.

It's people like Cany, Lep and Dom, JPD, Pequa, Moejoe, and my entire mod team that made Noreast such a success that we're able to produce this site with zero income from it. I do it because it's my passion. I always thought you and I were good, yet you think it's fine to go into someone's home and tell them how much you hate it. I usually keep those thoughts to myself. Yet you find it "amusing" to come here and break balls. I'm glad I have much better things to do that amuse me.

It's also obvious you have no clue what we're achieving here, and you know zero about digital media. I wouldn't tell you how to run your boat so please don't tell me how to run mine.

I never understood why anyone would visit a website that they hated? I just don't get it. Is it so you can tell other people that you hate it? Ohh, that's right it amuses you.

I really hate these posts, but I feel a need to let my team, as well as all of our users, that I appreciate the great community we are building here. You will ALWAYS have my support.

It really amuses me - in a good way.

I've been vaccinated but my kids, are anti. My daughter is concerned as she's hoping to have a child soon and my son is anti anything Gov't. My daughter has been teaching in the classroom since September yet she still won't consider it. I think it's going to be a tough sell to that 25-40 year olds and the J&J incident has only made that worse. It's going to be tough
And I think that's why instead of wiping out Covid the way we wiped out smallpox, polio, etc., Covid will stay with us like the flu, herpes, AIDS, mono, etc.

and I will just keep getting the china virus boosters, probably along with the annual flu shot. My albeit very small but entire family and all our friends and their adult children have gotten vaccinated with no more than two of them feeling a little ill the second day. Call me a RINO, but I got the shot for the same reason that I get tetanus boosters, shinglex, pneumonia vaccines, etc. Herd immunity in this country (and thus the world) is probably a lost cause, but I believe I read that many younger people in India have gotten seriously ill (as in dead) so maybe this will change some more minds.

I just found out a friend that had both vaccines done by the end of March just tested positive. He's been tested twice as Drs thought for sure it was a false positive. He's feeling little effects but he has it. Cases like this are sure to instill doubt.

It was never claimed that the vaccines were 100% effective, and that's why vaccinated people should still be cautious when going out "in the wild" by social distancing, avoiding crowds and sanitizing.

The vaccines are almost ironclad in preventing fully-vaccinated people from having a COVID-19 case severe enough to require hospitalization and/or end in death.

Been reading and hearing that since January

I’m not sure but there may be a difference, maybe @Roccus7 can chime in.
I was sitting on my hands, but since you asked...

Herpes - There is a vaccine for genital herpes. First came out around 20 years ago, but it was recommended for teen age girls. Recently it's been prescribed for teen males. IF enough people get vaccinated, this could be a thing of the past and eliminate cervical cancer caused by herpes. There are other causes...

Flu - Current knowledge feels flu mutates too much and too frequently to have an effective vaccine. Additionally we have strains that infect animals (Swine, Avian, etc.) and then jump to humans. Until someone can determine a common critical immungen within all Flu strains, this one probably won't happen.

HIV - This is one tough cookie since it's "mission" is to take out your immune system's "early warning" mechanisms. There have been some vaccine candidates, but nothing has proven effective as of this date. On the bright side, there are enough treatments for Aids available now that can essentially remove the virus.

Mono - Not sure if there are even any Epstein Barr Virus vaccine programs. One of those diseases that being non-fatal, just doesn't get the attention or research $.

Ebola - There is one Merck, single-dose vaccine that is approved by FDA, but it is limited to Health Care workers going to/returning from endemic areas and for Americans returning from endemic areas. There is another 2-dose vaccine being tested.

That's about it for now.

I witnessed an argument today where the two people were sticking to their guns on these opinions.....

” The vaccine is a must and will protect others from getting it”.

” the vaccine will not prevent the virus from spreading because it only helps the individual recover if and when that person is infected”.

I did not comment on the issue and kept my medical info private and shared no advice for either of them.

that’s when you chime is and say “Beyoncé and Jay-Z are really lizard people.”

I do like you personally George and would never tell you how to run your business

But won’t constrain my thoughts or opinions on what Is a platform for thoughts and opinions

You do as you must
No worries

Perhaps "they", whoever they are, need to come up with some sort of proof of vaccination that can not be so easily forged, whether its a check of some database (let's face it, should be easily compiled given all the information provided when one lines up for the jab) or a type of passport (?) Hey, deniers and haters gonna hate, but if you want to travel, attend certain events, go to certain colleges, attend school graduation ceremonies, get the shot or simply don't go. Too many people worldwide have died the last 16 months to ignore that it can be a serious illness for some.

Good idea. Maybe something that's attached to the injection itself so it's not a document that can be forged. Maybe something like nanoparticles that can be scanned at the injection site. I've heard that can be done with a cell phone.

Way to drive the conspiracy theorists off the edge of the earth.
