I’m haven’t da flu shot in 25 years and as a GBS survivor, I’m gonna pass on this CV shot too, I’m gonna pass on Shingles shot too... hope I won’t regret it... cellfish...

and since I retired from da subway system, I can’t recall gettin da “common cold” too... C22...
 
well the fight's not going well here - we seem to be losing..................

After weeks/months of maybe 0 to 2 cases a day - we are now spiking:

Sounds like a bit of a shaky vaccine:
Russian health officials say the Sputnik V vaccine is over 90 percent effective, but reports say medical workers who have taken the shot have come down with COVID-19. Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly refused to take it.

Western experts have expressed skepticism at the speed at which the purported vaccine was developed and Russia hasn’t provided any data to back up its claims for the shot.

It doesn't say , but I'm making the assumption that it is different from the one Pfizer came up with(?).
 
I’m interested to see the results of the vaccine. I must say I fine it a bit comforting that it’s being used across the pond. Their food and drug equivalent seems to be pretty rigorous and rigid in their approval process.

I truly hope it works and works well for those that chose to take it

While the bride has an occasional nightly nip to help her sleep, I have maybe one half a glass of wine every couple of months so no impact on me with what the Russkies put out. I have gotten weekly allergy shots for the last 30 years and since the early 80s have not had the sinus infections I used to deal with regularly. (allergic to molds, dust, grass like so many others.) I have gotten the flu shot every year since 1995 after having gotten the flu then and not since. I can't find my Army shot record card but know I have gotten the smallpox, polio, zostamax, shinglex, pnuemonia, DPaT vaccines and even some shot in the ass after working at Jones Beach in 1976 when medical wastes floated in. Fully intend to get this one too.

Tony- I suppose even after I get vaccinated I will still wear a mask when in stores and not hug and shake hands. for how long ? Who knows ?
