Coronavirus

I hope not for your sake, but any lasting adverse impact as many have experienced following infection ? (Wife has had her second shot a week ago, my second shot is in 13 days.)
So far, just a nagging cough and fatigue. And I am still waiting for smell and taste to come back. Otherwise, no complaint. Lots of folks much worse than my wife and I !

Hang in there and hope that the deficits quickly return. We get our boosters on Thursday and I bought a new bottle of extra strength Tylenol just in case...

Not looking forward to the 26th when I get my Moderna booster, but am looking forward to the psychological lift I get ten or twelve days later. I will admit that I have started just wearing a gaiter if we go anywhere and rarely a mask over it but that is mainly because with hearing aids and glasses earloop masks are a pita in the first place and I only wore masks with elastic before.

PLus masks fog up the glasses

I already dread getting my second on the 26th, but its better than catching the china virus. I think the chills and fever only last 24-36 hours. I simply expect to stay in bed on the 27th:mad: Besides, isn't it true that while one should avoid any anti-inflammatories the day before the shot to allow it to "take," that you can take tylenol if and when you get chills and fever after the shot ?

Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an anti-inflammatory or NSAID. Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen is. You can take acetaminophen if you want before getting the vaccine. Some caution against taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen BEFORE getting the shots, but feel anything's fine to take on the "morning after".

Look on the bright side, a substantial reaction with the booster let's you know that your immune system is "locked and loaded" against COVID and it's making sure the magazines are all full in case they're needed.

I'm betting on a miserable day after this week's booster so I'm making a big batch of chicken soup on Wednesday and broke out a new bottle of Extra Strength Tylenol. We're ready.

This may have been covered but I don't remember, is the second shot the same dose as the first? When I, or whoever, get my second shot, if the next person in line is getting their first does it come from the same vial?

Im surprised China refused to hand over the data. LOL Considering WHO waited a year to investigate, I figured the Chinese Govt. would have cooked the books by then!

WHO has lost all credibility in my opinion!
I just saw this comment LOL. I was laughing when they showed the WHO people touring the market and the lab. Over a year later and they're just getting a chance to check things out. Give me a break. They would have been better off not even showing up.

That's what I thought too, but every time I read a warning, they lump Tylenol in with NSAISs, explaining that there is "not enough data" on whether it will reduce the effectiveness of the shot.
They also tend to lessen the warning about taking pain relievers after the shot, but if it has an impact if taken 2 hours before, why would it not have an impact if taken 2 hours after?
