What about plants, MoJoe mentioned elephant ear plants, I’m sure Chevy would know….do they grow up north?

Never seen them anywhere closer than the Carolinas.

My Fav plant is Hydrangia ( aka snowball bushes) ….love them.
Whats your fav?


Elephant ears can be grown here but have to be removed and stored over the winter.

Tree stump was grinded out July 3rd. Built a soil screener this morning. Probably should have went with 1/2" as opposed to 1/4" screen. This is going to take forever to sift out. Previous owners put mulch on top of red rock. The gorilla cart is awesome. It tips over all the way to dump out.

That’s a kool cart. I had to do the exact same thing in my yard where a old greenhouse once stood, they lined every bed in stones it took me days.

Thought I had a nutsedge problem in the yard. So i sprayed the front with Sedgehammer. Posted in a lawn group on FB and everyone is saying Crabgrass. So i guess the backyard will have to get blanket sprayed with Tenacity. I'll see how the front takes to the Sedgehammer. I know it takes 2-3 seasons they say to get the lawn going right., I feel like this summer the lawn has really taken a beating. I'm going to have to burn some areas. re topsoil, level out and defiantly dethatch and overseed come Sept.

Either pull it or weed whack it to the dirt. Don’t let it go to seed. 1/2 of my backyard was crabgrass last year, only have a few plants now that I will remove by hand
