Actually, no. My recollection was almost anything I really wanted to see was sold out. Plus, despite the high prices these days, I can afford them a lot more than I could afford anything back then!
 
this is bringing back a lot of memories I haven't thought about in a LONG time....................

My father also had an assumed Revolutionary War muskeet he found when swimming in Lake Champlain as a kid. It had a compartment in the stock which contained a handwritten letter/message. Unreadable of course.

Another "don't know what happened to it" thingy.....................

Again probably a mid-teen last time I saw it.

I remember................

Dad giving us newspapers & Wisk & we knew what that meant. Clean the front window on the family vehicle - get into our PJs "WE'RE GOING TO THE DRIVE-IN". We'd ride the rides in the PJ's before the feature began. Good memories. Sad that it's gone.

Whoelse spent time there as a kid?
