Village Brauhaus is expected to serve up German fare at 710 King St. The restaurant's new website promises "great food, great beer and great times" and has plans to serve lunch and dinner. The eatery has not yet applied for a license to sell alcohol, according to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority

It looks like most of the houses down there need some love..

I know the house & the owner - block behind mine (2 blocks from downtown & a short walk to the wharf & marina & boat ramp). Picture # 2 is Onancock Creek heading toward the Chesapeake. Don't know what size your family is but this a good size house on what appears to be at least 1/2 acre property. Seems to be off the market right now - was listed for a little over $300,000 which is a tad high in my opinion.

Was on the market for at least the last 6 months (listing may have expired). You probably can get in for well under $300,000. Buyers are motivated.

That's a nice looking home,it's just my wife and I,my original plan was more of a second home,once I retire we could spend time down there and than who knows maybe move there,really getting sick of NY,the land of taxes,thanks for the info..

OK - figured I'd ask - I know someone building condos right in the middle of town.
Could own & rent out while not there to cover the n mortgage until you moved down if you ever did of course...

Never been there physically, but looked at some listings of the canal front properties and some canal front lots. Very reasonable along with low taxes as well. Pintail, Mallard and Canvasback Lanes.
