The Onancock Chronicles the Eastern shore

Hey this thread is supposed to be about an area of the country which should have a Guitar/Banjo soundtrack. I think it's time to get back "Onanacock".

thought this thread was supposed to be about Onanacock & the Eastern Shore?

The East Coast of the United States, also known as the Eastern Seaboard, the Atlantic Coast, and the Atlantic Seaboard, is the coastline along which the Eastern United States meets the North Atlantic Ocean. The coastal states that have shoreline on the Atlantic Ocean are, from north to south, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.[1]

notice it's all Eastern Seaboard or East Coast - not - Eastern Shore

I like the acres and location of this one :

Nice tranquil looking place Cappy. But Where are the Big Pines, Rocks and ledges ? Do they even have tides there ? Don't know if i would want to be standing on that dock if it were 9' above the water. You may need me down there to rebuild it :)

No Rock or Ledges or Lobstahs ....... but, from what I hear, Blue claw crabs right off the dock and BIG striped bass and oystahs. :)

where is it John? Does look somewhere on Onancock Creek. You have to register with your email address at the link to view it. Get enough spam as it is.

Thanks Dom...................

House looks to need a fair amount of work. Thought the wife didn't want a fixer upper John?
Couple of things:
  1. I think it maybe overpriced
  2. It is advertising a second habitable structure on the property - unless it's attached to the main house it is not legal in Onancock - there are no legal secondary detached buildings permitted in the current Zoning that are acceptable as living spaces - the only reason I know this is - being on the Planning Commision we just turned down a woman's request for a special use permit for a secondary structure on her property that the realtor told them could be approved as a Home Stay with a zoning variance - Town is very much against this. To say the least - she is not a happy camper

The inside looks good. May need a roof and siding.

I don't care for the house over the three bay garage. I wouldn't want to be walking up those steps all the time.
