The Onancock Chronicles the Eastern shore

Wind backed off a little today ..... decided to stay tucked in behind the islands. Saw some bait being pushed in shallow on a grass flat. Made a couple drifts with live peanut bunker. One chopped by a small blue, another pulled off the hook, one hook up. Striped bass, 22" in less than 18" of water. Water temp 85 degrees ........ middle of the day. Season is closed till Oct 4th so back it went. The learning continues.

Might be better in the fishing report section

after 6 years I've come to the realization that the growing season down here is just too damn long...

I'm tired of weeding, pruning, deadheading, trimming, mulching, watering, etc. Time for them to take their winter nap.

very - it starts in March & doesn't end until November - that's too long - NY is like May to October

Any other latitude-related epiphanies that Captain Obvious would care to share such as tides have less differential between MHW & MLW than higher latitudes, daylight hours are shorter in the summer and longer in the winter than higher latitudes, etc.???

Not really ...... this is a NY anging site and some of us transplants, former NY 'ers and future former NY'ers are posting in this thread about our experiences here, both good and bad. Cany, you and Dom are actually out of line with the constant derogatory posts you make here. JMHO.

NY angling site with a fishing report section

Then you might as well delete the 2019 Western Sound bass thread, and the 2020 Western Sound bass thread too because there are "reports" in there as well. As the "General" you should really treat everybody and every thread the same way, instead of favoring some and picking on others.

Yes there are reports but thats a dedicated fishing thread for NY ANGLERS lots of members/non members actually view that thread compared to this one Its all about the views and the fishing reports for a fishing site
