good stuff on netflix

it's on "the List"..........
wife and I have spent just two nights on it and are about to start episode 8 ! Non- stop mystery and excitement. Except for an actor from "Without a Trace", the Secret Service Agent Monks, the guy playing the VP, and the guy who played the original bad guy in Terminator (Robert Patrick) I don't think I have seen any of the other actors before, which is a pleasant change. I am just hoping that the ending isn't a disappointment which would be a damn shame, its just been that good so far.

just came across this.............

Hmmm, a pleasant surprise, but not really as it is really that good. I guess the last three episodes will determine where the main protagonists will end up next year. Until your post I thought it would be a one and done. I am not going to open the link as I fear it might spoil the ending of season 1, and will now unwatch this thread so I avoid some buffoon (lol) who has already finished it.

in the article they mentioned it was planned to be a limited series - but got so much attention they decided to go ahead with a second season

Well we recorded the Las & Order shows in order to watch the last three episodes of "The Night Agent" last night instead. For us, easily the best thing we have ever seen on Netflix. Exciting, plot twists and surprises galore. Worth subscribing for that alone! Unfortunately, like "Jack Reacher" on Amazon, I fear that the supporting cast which consisted of a bunch of really good and believable actors, won't be with "Peter' the night agent on the second season, but we can hope.

Started "The Night Manager" last night but SWMBO pooped out just before the end of the first episode. Stirling cast, with Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Coleman (The Crown), Hugh Laurie (House) etc. From a John LeCarre novel. I think it came out six years ago. Started off with the Arab Spring.... Spy stuff, a favorite genre of mine.

I liked her in Electric Horseman and that reactor meltdown thing with jack lemon, which was my first date with SWMBO. China syndrome ?

The young-uns won’t comprehend
if you're referring to me - why thank you - just turned 71 the end of March..........................

You're going to miss a very entertaining movie over something that happened 50 or 60 years ago however.

Didn't say I wouldn't watch it, just that no one from post Vietnam may understand the post I referred to. If I didn't watch actors whose politics I disagree with I would be limited to "Last Man Standing" and little else !

Can you imagine watching "Glengarry Glenn Ross" without that five minute tirade by Alec Baldwin, aka rust killer ?

Perfect for Holy Week.

Hot Skull
Drama/Sci-Fi

Finished this up last night...........

In a dystopian world, as an epidemic spreads through verbal communication, a tyrannical institution pursues a linguist immune to the disease. Based on the novel Hot Skull by Afşin Kum.

Interesting & strange premise. Held me for the full season. Nlot sure if there's toi another but this one did wrap up properly in case that doesn't happen. Turkish. So close caption is a must. Unless you are fluent in Turkish.

Give it a whirl.

we may have a couple of "jabbers" on here............
:)

I just found out there is a dubbed version available - I just didn't check that - but it was engrossing enough that reading the diolouge didn't bother me.

The end is near for Manifest — for the second time.

At the stroke of 8:28 a.m. on the West Coast — a nod to the passengers of flight 828 — Netflix released its first look at the second part of the show's fourth season. The next (and final) 10 episodes premiere June 2, which also happens to be the Death Date everyone has been fearing on the series.

"The world is ending and we know when," says Josh Dallas' Ben Stone in the new teaser trailer.
