Last month my son comes over and looks at my yard and say's what are you doing, I says landscaping, really ???
Ok mr hot shot how much 3/4 stone do I need, hes says 3 tons. ok I order 3 tons and they drop it off, I rented a dingo to move the gravel to where it needs to go, well, 3 tons turned into 7.5 tons and I ended renting the dingo for a full day.
So I call my son up and say, some landscaper you are, he came over after work and helped me finish loading the stone, will up load pics, in the meantime I picked up 50) 2x8x8 pt lumber, 20) 2x4x8's 10 4x4x8 pt and 20) decking planks to make my flower boxes.
Boxes for in front of the house will be 4'x4' x 17" high, there will be 4, on the side will be 3'x3'x17" high, 6 boxes as they will wrap around to the back of the house, in front of the deck are 4 boxes that will be for my garden, the bases have already been made.
I am hoping to have this all done before the end of Oct, again I will post pics of my progress.
Everything I have seen you guys do, is fantastic, it sure is a labor of love. lol

To anyone with River Birch trees.
Take a look st them today. I found a new hatch of Birch leaf skeletonizer in Mount Sinai today. Trees where loaded with thousands of these tiny 1:8-1/4” ? caterpillars doing severe damage. Eggs will be payed on The leaves so make sure you remove all fallen leaves now and until Tree is bare.

Pic of flower boxes, not done yet, still have to trim them out, made 5 , have five more to go, I'm a little behind but I am taking a couple of days off next week to get them finished.
Finished the boxes, need to level them and add dirt and flowers, but not until next year.

Cut back the coneflowers last night.

I need to trim back my roses.

Should I do it now or wait until spring? I’m open to suggestions.
