Congrats!!! I'll be joining you down there in a year.

Would love to ......but,
Two days all day driving ....... looked at properties on both sides of the peninsula, covered everything we wanted to look at from just north of Cape Charles to the ocean side by Wallops. Dogs are shot and tired of living in the truck. We are planning on hitting the road north, early am. We also stopped in at Sandpiper Marine ..... very nice people, family run. Going to have to weigh out the price difference vs dragging the privateer down to have them install the outboard.
I visited Sandpiper last month as I'm in the market for a new outboard. I too liked them I dealt with Josh and got a very good vibe from them.

Josh is who I spoke with as well ....... we talked a bit in regards to the fishing. He talked about the run of bull reds they get .... fish to 50lbs ! Looking forward to the chance of hooking up with one of those ! Very nice people.

Day three in Onancock. Met up with Larry a couple times, last nite we had crab cakes at Mallard's on the Wharf. Unfortunetly I am back to looking again. I thought we had the property that was perfect, offer was accepted ...... until I found out that due to its proximity to wetlands, it would have been a long battle to get the permits to put an extension on the existing house and add the dock and garage I have always wanted. So the search continues today.

Thom and Linda are good people. You'll have to check out the band Thom is in they are called Three Sheets. They play at the Blarney Stone from time to time.

It's a pain all over. To put in a dock here I had to apply to the Town, the Division of Marine Resources, the Army Corp of Engineers and TWO Indian Tribes. The Crop rejected my the first time, asking why I didn't want to have my boat in a Marina? My response was "If I wanted my boat in a Marina, why would I buy land on the water?" They eventually relented and approved my permit.
