The stock market

Going to be interesting. I’m torn on this one. People are going to “gamble” with their life savings.
One of these days I'd love you to 'splain WTH this means, does it mean that Fund Managers can make the decision to include these in your managed 401(k) accounts, or can these be included in options you can opt to use in your 401(k)??

My understanding is it will be both. But lately, what is done today, may not be the final rule tomorrow.

Although as you know, MOST 401(k) plans are self directed as the custodian/trustee (employer) wants to steer clear of anyone losing money and then being blamed.

I still have to read more, as I just saw this my also be a gateway to the PE world too.

Being involved in a bunch of PE deals, most folks will not understand the process and the risks involved. The due diligence it takes is mind boggling.

Stocks have rallied significantly, partly on the argument that the impact of the Trump administration's tariffs on inflation will be smaller than was feared earlier this year.

However, the July Producer Price Index, which measures wholesale goods prices, has called that thinking into question.

While consumer-level inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index and Personal Consumption Expenditures Index, has ticked only marginally higher, PPI inflation soared in July far more than economists expected.

Up, up and away!!

And so, so happy back in April with all the Trump fearmongering..................................Just added a chunk of change and it is still going!

More recent - LMND 7/30 buy at $36.88

Today - $58

More sweet than tart!

As trustees of our plan, we decided NOT to include in our plan at this time. Another item was private credit. These can be illiquid at times, so how could somebody cash out if they were leaving, changing jobs, etc? Holding firm until the next trustee meeting.
